Section 13: Redemption of weekly payments

13. Redemption of weekly payments (1) Where a weekly payment has been continued for not less than 12 months, the liability for it may, on application by or on behalf of either the employer or the workman, be redeemed by the payment of a lump sum of such an amount as may be settled by the Court, subject to the limitations specified in the First Schedule. (2) Nothing in this section shall be construed as preventing agreements being made for redemption of a weekly payment by a lump sum at any time. PART II – CONDITIONS OF COMPENSATION
