17B. False certificate by medical practitioner
Any medical practitioner who, in any certificate or report delivered as a
result of a medical examination made under this Act, makes a statement as
to the nature of an injury or the consequences of an accident knowing it to
be false or not believing it to be true, shall commit an offence and shall, on
conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 1,000 rupees.
