7. Animals coming from infected places
Where the veterinary officer has proof or suspicion from the master’s declaration or otherwise that any disease of animals prevails on board or prevailed or had recently prevailed at the port or place from which they are
brought or to the country adjacent thereto at the time of the vessel’s departure or at any port or place at which the vessel may have embarked animals
during the voyage, the veterinary officer may prohibit the landing of the animals or any carcase until after consultation with the Chief Agricultural Officer.
