61. Control of advertisement
(1) No advertisement respecting deposits shall be made on behalf of a
financial institution unless a copy of such advertisement has been submitted
to the central bank not less than 7 days before the intended date of publication or other dissemination.
(2) For the purpose of this section, “advertisement” means any material,
written, published, broadcast or otherwise, containing an invitation to make
a deposit or obtain other financial services or information such as might lead
directly or indirectly to the making of a deposit.
(3) Where in the opinion of the central bank an advertisement is misleading, the central bank may direct the financial institution or other person
responsible for the dissemination of such advertisement to withdraw or modify it as directed by the central bank, and the person to whom the direction
is given shall comply with it.
