14. Transactions for bankrupt (1) No broker shall negotiate any note or bill of exchange or sell any merchandise belonging to any bankrupt. (2) Any broker who contravenes this section shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to the forfeiture of his commission and to a fine not exceeding 2,000 rupees and shall be personally responsible for the amount of any sale or transaction so effected.
