29. Establishment of Muslim Family Council
(1) There shall be a Muslim Family Council which shall consist of—
(a) a Chairperson who shall be a legally qualified person of not less
than 5 years’ standing;
(b) 2 persons who are conversant with Muslim marriage and traditions;
(c) 2 persons who are officiating Muslim priests.
(2) (a) The Chairperson and the other members of the Council shall be
appointed by the Minister on such terms and conditions as he may determine.
(b) The Chairperson and members of the Council shall not be entitled
to any fee or remuneration.
