6. Secretary and other officers of Council
(1) The supervising officer shall designate a public officer to be the Secretary of the Council.
(2) The Secretary shall be—
(a) a medical practitioner;
(b) a pharmacist; or
(c) a nursing officer holding a BSc degree in Nursing or an equivalent qualification.
(3) The Secretary shall—
(a) make necessary entries in the Register;
(b) carry out such duties as may be assigned to him by the Council;
(c) in the exercise of his functions, act in accordance with such
directions as he may receive from the Council.
(4) The supervising officer shall designate such number of public officers
as the Council may require to assist it in the performance of its functions and
in the exercise of its powers.
