6. Powers of Commission The Commission shall have such powers as are necessary to enable it to effectively discharge its functions and may, in particular— (a) issue orders and directions in accordance with this Act; C36A – 5 [Issue 2] Competition Act (b) impose financial penalties or remedies on any enterprise which conducts its business in breach of this Act; (c) enter into such contracts as may be necessary or expedient for the purpose of discharging its functions under this Act; (d) cooperate with other competition authorities in other countries entrusted with functions similar to those of the Commission; (e) impose such charges or fees as may be required under this Act or regulations made under it.
