Section 7: Appointment of Commissioners

7. Appointment of Commissioners (1) The Commission shall consist of a Chairperson, a Vice-Chairperson and 3 other Commissioners who shall be appointed by the President on the advice of the Prime Minister given after consultation with the Leader of the Opposition. (2) The Commissioners referred to in subsection (1) shall be persons from the public sector, private sector and academia, appointed by virtue of their qualifications and experience in law, economics, accountancy or commerce. (3) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Chairperson, ViceChairperson and every other Commissioner shall be appointed on such terms and conditions as the President, on the advice of the Prime Minister, may determine.
