18. Liability for registration (1) An attorney or other person who employs a Court Usher attached to the Supreme Court for the execution of any judicial or extrajudicial process, shall cause every document drawn up or served by the Court Usher in the execution of the process to be registered within the period fixed by law and shall pay to the Registrar-General the registration duty due on the document. (2) The Registrar-General shall deliver or cause to be delivered to the attorney or other person making such payment an acknowledgement of the amount paid. [S. 18 amended by Act 32 of 1983.]
