164. Aiding prisoner charged with misdemeanour
Where the party escaping is charged with, or accused, or convicted of, a
misdemeanour, the person entrusted with the custody or conveyance of
such party shall be punished, in the case of negligence, by imprisonment for
a term not exceeding one year, and in the case of connivance, by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 4 years.
