148. Court may order payment of costs by accused
The Supreme Court trying a criminal case, with or without a jury, may, if
it thinks fit, upon the conviction of an accused for a crime or misdemeanour,
in addition to such sentence as may otherwise by law be passed, condemn
the accused to the payment of the whole or part of the costs or expenses
incurred, whether by the State or by a private prosecutor, in relation to the
prosecution and conviction for the offence of which he is convicted.
