5. Regulations
(1) The Council may make such regulations as it thinks fit for the care
and management of the Library, subject to the Minister’s approval.

Curepipe Carnegie Library Act
(2) The regulations shall provide for—
(a) the days, hours and conditions on, at and under which the Library shall be available to the public;
(b) the care of the objects of art, works, books, papers and other
property of the Library;
(c) generally for all things regulating the proper care, management
and working of the Library.
(3) Regulations made under this section may provide that any person
who contravenes any of them shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 500 rupees.
