30. Prohibition notice
(1) Where the Board is satisfied that the use of a dangerous chemical involves an imminent risk to public health, public safety or the environment, it
may issue a prohibition notice.
(2) The prohibition notice shall—
(a) specify the name and address of the person against whom it is
directed;
(b) state the opinion of the competent enforcing agency; and
(c) specify—
(i) the risk involved;
(ii) the measures to be taken;
(iii) the activity that is prohibited; and
(iv) any condition subject to which the activity may be carried
out.
(3) Every person issued with a prohibition notice shall forthwith comply
with the notice.
(4) Notwithstanding any criminal prosecution that may be instituted under this Act, where a person to whom a prohibition notice has been issued
refuses or fails to comply with it, the Board may take such measures as may

be necessary to enforce the prohibition notice, and any cost so incurred may
be recovered from the person against whom the notice has been issued.
