26. Temporary registration of visiting dental surgeon or dental specialist
(1) A dental surgeon or dental specialist who—
(a) is engaged in the Republic of Mauritius in the implementation of
a Government scheme agreed upon by Government and the
World Health Organisation or other similar international agency;
(b) is visiting Mauritius and has been invited to offer his services
under a scheme approved by the Ministry; or
(c) is visiting Mauritius for the purpose of teaching, research or
study in dentistry under such scheme as may be approved by
the Government,
may be temporarily registered as a dental surgeon or dental specialist under
this Act.
(2) Any dental surgeon or dental specialist of any visiting force and ship
lawfully present in Mauritius shall be exempted from registration for the discharge of his duties.
(3) A dental surgeon or dental specialist registered under subsection (1)
shall be exempted from the payment of any fee.
