44. Magistrate may inquire and commit for trial
Where, in accordance with section 3 (1A) (d) of the Criminal Procedure
Act, a person is before a Magistrate, on a charge of having committed an
offence for which the Magistrate has no jurisdiction to convict under section 116 of the Courts Act, the Magistrate shall inquire into the charge and
commit the party charged for trial.
