5. Objections to grant of permit
(1) (a) Where the Board considers an application favourably, the applicant
shall publish the application in the Gazette, and any person wishing to object
to the grant of the permit shall transmit his objection to the Board in writing by
registered post within 14 days of the date of the publication of the application
in the Gazette, or within such longer period as the Board may prescribe.
(b) Any person who objects to the grant of a permit shall state his reasons for his objection and his interest in the subject matter of the application.
(c) The person referred to in paragraph (b) shall also supply the
applicant with a copy of his objection, together with his reasons for the
objection.
(2) The Board may, where it may determine and without assigning any
reason, refuse to consider any application.
