Section 64: Establishment of Council

64. Establishment of Council (1) There is established, for the purposes of this Act, a Labour Advisory Council. (2) The Council shall consist of an equal number of public officers, representatives of employers and representatives of workers. (3) The members of the Council shall be appointed by the Minister for such period and on such terms and conditions as he may determine. (4) The Chairperson of the Council shall be appointed by the Minister from among the public officers. (5) The Council may co-opt non-voting members as and when required. (6) The appointment of every member of the Council shall be published in the Gazette. (7) The Council shall regulate its proceedings in such manner as it thinks fit.
