34. Equal Opportunities Tribunal
(1) There shall be an Equal Opportunities Tribunal which shall consist
of—
(a) a President, who shall be a law practitioner of not less than
10 years’ standing; and
(b) 2 other persons having knowledge of or experience in law, race
relations, gender affairs, employment issues, education, culture,
economics, social welfare or human rights and who have been
active in any of those fields for a period of not less than 5 years
or in a combination of those fields for an aggregate of not less
than 5 years.

Equal Opportunities Act
(2) The persons referred to in subsection (1)—
(a) shall be appointed by the Public Service Commission;
(b) may be appointed on a full-time or part-time basis; and
(c) shall, on their appointment, take the oath set out in Part B of the
Schedule.
(3) Where a person referred to in subsection (1) is ill or is otherwise
unable to act, or where his office is vacant, the Public Service Commission
may appoint another person to act in his stead during his illness, or incapacity, or until the vacancy is filled, as the case may be, provided that any such
acting appointment shall not be for a period exceeding 12 months.
