30A. Education and exchange of information (1) The Registrar may undertake outreach and educational programmes to raise and deepen awareness among all charitable foundations and the donor community on the potential vulnerabilities of the sector to terrorism (cid:191)(cid:81)(cid:68)(cid:81)(cid:70)(cid:76)(cid:81)(cid:74)(cid:3) (cid:68)(cid:69)(cid:88)(cid:86)(cid:72)(cid:3)(cid:68)(cid:81)(cid:71)(cid:3)(cid:87)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:85)(cid:82)(cid:85)(cid:76)(cid:86)(cid:80)(cid:3)(cid:191)(cid:81)(cid:68)(cid:81)(cid:70)(cid:76)(cid:81)(cid:74)(cid:3)(cid:85)(cid:76)(cid:86)(cid:78)(cid:86)(cid:3)(cid:68)(cid:81)(cid:71)(cid:3)(cid:87)(cid:75)(cid:72)(cid:3)(cid:80)(cid:72)(cid:68)(cid:86)(cid:88)(cid:85)(cid:72)(cid:86)(cid:3)(cid:87)(cid:75)(cid:68)(cid:87)(cid:3) charitable foundations may take to protect themselves against such abuse. 304 Acts 2021 (2) The Registrar may share, with Mauritian and foreign law enforcement agencies and institutions involved in the prevention of money laundering and combating of (cid:87)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:85)(cid:82)(cid:85)(cid:76)(cid:86)(cid:80)(cid:3)(cid:191)(cid:81)(cid:68)(cid:81)(cid:70)(cid:76)(cid:81)(cid:74)(cid:3)(cid:68)(cid:81)(cid:71)(cid:3)(cid:83)(cid:85)(cid:82)(cid:79)(cid:76)(cid:73)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:68)(cid:87)(cid:76)(cid:82)(cid:81)(cid:3)(cid:191)(cid:81)(cid:68)(cid:81)(cid:70)(cid:76)(cid:81)(cid:74)(cid:15)(cid:3)(cid:76)(cid:81)(cid:73)(cid:82)(cid:85)(cid:80)(cid:68)(cid:87)(cid:76)(cid:82)(cid:81)(cid:3) which he obtains pursuant to this Act. (b) A Foundation shall, within 14 days, from the date on which an authorisation is granted or, from which (cid:87)(cid:75)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:72)(cid:3)(cid:76)(cid:86)(cid:3)(cid:68)(cid:3)(cid:70)(cid:75)(cid:68)(cid:81)(cid:74)(cid:72)(cid:3)(cid:85)(cid:72)(cid:74)(cid:68)(cid:85)(cid:71)(cid:76)(cid:81)(cid:74)(cid:3)(cid:87)(cid:75)(cid:72)(cid:3)(cid:68)(cid:88)(cid:87)(cid:75)(cid:82)(cid:85)(cid:76)(cid:86)(cid:72)(cid:71)(cid:3)(cid:82)(cid:73)(cid:191)(cid:70)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:3)(cid:82)(cid:85)(cid:3)(cid:83)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:86)(cid:82)(cid:81)(cid:3) referred to in paragraph (a), notify the Registrar, in such form and manner as the Registrar may approve, of the name and (cid:83)(cid:68)(cid:85)(cid:87)(cid:76)(cid:70)(cid:88)(cid:79)(cid:68)(cid:85)(cid:86)(cid:3)(cid:82) cid:81)(cid:74)(cid:3)(cid:87)(cid:75)(cid:72)(cid:3)(cid:68)(cid:88)(cid:87)(cid:75)(cid:82)(cid:85)(cid:76)(cid:86)(cid:72)(cid:71)(cid:3)(cid:82)(cid:73)(cid:191)(cid:70)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:3)(cid:82)(cid:85)(cid:3)(cid:83)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:86)(cid:82)(cid:81)(cid:3) referred to in paragraph (a), notify the Registrar, in such form and manner as the Registrar may approve, of the name and (cid:83)(cid:68)(cid:85)(cid:87)(cid:76)(cid:70)(cid:88)(cid:79)(cid:68)(cid:85)(cid:86)(cid:3)(cid:82)(cid:73)(cid:3)(cid:87)(cid:75)(cid:72)(cid:3)(cid:82)(cid:73)(cid:191)(cid:70)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:3)(cid:82)(cid:85)(cid:3)(cid:83)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:86)(cid:82)(cid:81)(cid:17) (c) In this subsection – “basic information”, in relation to a Foundation, means – (a) the name of the Foundation, proof of registration, legal form and status, address of its registered (cid:82)(cid:73)(cid:191)(cid:70)(cid:72)(cid:15)(cid:3) (cid:69)(cid:68)(cid:86)(cid:76)(cid:70)(cid:3) (cid:85)(cid:72)(cid:74)(cid:88)(cid:79)(cid:68)(cid:87)(cid:76)(cid:81)(cid:74)(cid:3) (cid:83)(cid:82)(cid:90)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:86)(cid:15)(cid:3) including the charter, and a list of members of its Council; and (b) a register of founders and persons who may have endowed assets to the Foundation; Acts 2021 305 “competent authority” – (a) means a public body responsible for combatting money laundering (cid:82)(cid:85)(cid:3) (cid:87)(cid:72)(cid:85)(cid:85)(cid:82)(cid:85)(cid:76)(cid:86)(cid:87)(cid:3) (cid:191)(cid:81)(cid:68)(cid:81)(cid:70)(cid:76)(cid:81)(cid:74)(cid:3) (cid:68)(cid:81)(cid:71)(cid:3) proliferation; and (b) includes investigatory authorities; “investigatory authorities” has the same meaning as in the Financial Intelligence and Anti-Money Laundering Act. (d) by inserting, after section 36, the following new section –
