36. Records to be kept (1) A Foundation shall keep proper records of— (a) all sums of money received, expended and distributed, specifying the purpose of any such receipt, expense and distribution; F22A – 21 [Issue 9] Foundations Act (b) all sales and purchases made by the Foundation; and (c) the assets and liabilities of the Foundation. (2) A Foundation shall keep accounting records which shall— (a) be sufficient to show and explain the transactions of the Foundation; (b) disclose with reasonable accuracy, at any time, the financial position of the Foundation; and (c) allow financial statements to be prepared.
