3. Application of Act
(1) Nothing in this Act shall in any way affect the customs laws and the
Ports Act.
(2) The Excise Act shall not apply to any goods manufactured or produced in a freeport zone unless such goods are entered for consumption
in Mauritius.
(3) The Landlord and Tenant Act and the Non-Citizens (Property Restriction) Act shall not apply to any lease under this Act.
(4) —
(5) The provisions of the Local Government Act relating to rates, levies
and licences shall not apply to a holder of a freeport certificate under this Act.
