8. Meetings of Authority
(1) A meeting of the Authority shall be held at such time and at such
place as the Chairperson may determine.
(2) The Authority shall regulate its own procedure.
(3) Where the Chairperson is absent from a meeting, the members present shall elect one of the members present to chair the meeting.
(4) Subject to subsections (5) and (7), the Authority shall meet at least
5 times in a year.
(5) The Chairperson may convene a special meeting at any time.
(6) Not less than 6 members may, by notice in writing, submit a request
to the Chairperson to convene a special meeting.
(7) Where a request is made under subsection (6), the Chairperson shall
convene a special meeting within 21 days of the receipt of the notice of the
request.
(8) A notice under subsection (6) shall specify the purpose for which the
meeting is to be convened.
(9) At any meeting of the Authority, 5 members shall constitute a quorum.
