8. Staff of Commission (1) The Secretary to Cabinet and Head of the Civil Service may, subject to the Public Service Commission Regulations, designate such public officers as may be necessary to assist the Commission. (2) Every officer shall be under the administrative control of the Secretary. (3) The Public Service Commission may approve the transfer, promotion or secondment of any officer in the public service to any office within the Commission and any public officer so transferred, promoted or seconded shall, in relation to any gratuity, pension or other allowance, be treated as continuing in the public service. (4) The Commission may, on such terms and conditions as it may determine, employ on contract such suitably qualified person as may be necessary for the proper discharge of its functions.
