227. Effect on transfer of shares (1) Subject to this section, a share in a company in administration shall not be transferred and the rights or liabilities of a shareholder of the company may not be altered. (2) An administrator may consent to the transfer of a share in a company in administration where he is satisfied that the transfer is in the best interests of the company’s shareholders. [Issue 3] I14 – 132 Revised Laws of Mauritius (3) The Court may make an order for— (a) the transfer of a share of a company in administration, but only after the administrator has been asked to consent to the transfer and has refused or failed to respond for an unreasonable time; or (b) altering the rights and liabilities of a shareholder in a company in administration.
