8. Fineness mark
A fineness mark shall—
(a) in the case of jewellery made of gold, be of the category and
standard of fineness specified in the first and second columns of
Part I of the First Schedule, and comprise the corresponding
figure specified in the third column of that Schedule;
(b) in the case of jewellery made of silver, be of the standard of
fineness specified in the first column of Part II of the First
Schedule, and comprise the corresponding figure specified in the
second column of that Schedule;
(c) in the case of jewellery made of platinum, be of the standard of
fineness specified in the first column of Part III of the First
Schedule, and comprise the corresponding figure specified in the
second column of that Schedule.
