8. Separation of juveniles from adults The Commissioner of Police shall make arrangements for preventing a juvenile while detained in a police station, or while being conveyed to and from any criminal court, or while waiting before or after attendance in any criminal court, from associating with an adult (other than a relative), who is charged with any offence other than an offence with which the juvenile is jointly charged, or of which he has been jointly convicted, and for ensuring that a girl, being a juvenile, while so detained, being conveyed or waiting, is under the care of a woman.
