108. Ascertainment of value of immovable property
(1) Every Chief Executive shall cause to be retrieved from the digital
cadastral database kept and maintained under section 4 of the Cadastral
Survey Act, the values of the immovable properties situated in the rating area of the appropriate local authority as ascertained by the valuer.
(2) On receipt of the value of an immovable property under subsection (1), every Financial Controller shall forthwith—
(a) cause the appropriate entries to be made in the cadastral database; and
(b) notify the ratepayer of the amount of local rate payable in the
manner specified in section 98.
