125. Application of Sub-Part III
(1) Subject to this section, this Sub-Part applies to all ships to which the
Safety Convention applies and to cargo ships of less than 500 gross tonnage.
(2) The provisions of this Sub-Part respecting the carriage of dangerous
goods in packaged form or in solid form in bulk do not apply to ships’ stores
and equipment, including ships’ distress signals.
(3) This Sub-Part and any regulations made under this Act relating to
dangerous goods shall apply to all Mauritius ships and to all foreign ships
while loading or discharging cargo or fuel, or embarking or disembarking passengers, at any place in Mauritius.
