63. Improper discharge
Where a seafarer who has signed a crew agreement is discharged otherwise than in accordance with its terms before the commencement of the
voyage, or before one month’s wages has been earned, without fault on his
part justifying that discharge, and without his consent, the seafarer shall be
entitled to receive from the person employing him, in addition to any wages
which he has earned, compensation for the damage caused to him by the
discharge not exceeding one month’s wages.
