6. Management of Council
(1) The Council shall be managed and administered by an Executive Committee which shall consist of—
(a) a Chairperson who shall be the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry responsible for the subject of welfare of disabled persons or
his representative;
(b) a Vice-Chairperson to be appointed by the Minister from the representatives of member organisations elected at the general
meeting;
(c) the Director, Medical Unit of the Ministry responsible for the subject of social security;
(d) a representative of the Ministry responsible for the subject of
health;
(e) a representative of the Ministry responsible for the subject of
education;
(f) a representative of the Ministry responsible for the subject of
youth and sports;
(g) a representative of the Ministry responsible for Rodrigues;
(h) a representative of the Ministry responsible for the subject of
employment;

(i) a representative of the Ministry responsible for the subject of
economic planning and development;
(j) a representative of the Ministry responsible for the subject of
agriculture;
(k) the Social Welfare Commissioner or his representative;
(l) 9 representatives of member organisations elected at the general
meeting of the Council;
(m) 3 independent members appointed by the Minister.
(2) The Committee shall regulate its meeting and proceedings in such
manner as it thinks fit.
(3) The quorum of the Committee shall be 12.
(4) No member shall receive any fee or remuneration for his services.
