36. Overcrowding (1) A place of work shall not, while work is carried on therein, be so overcrowded as to cause risk of injury to the health of the employees. (2) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1) but subject to subsection (3), the number of employees at any one time in any workroom shall not be such that the space allowed for each employee is less than 11 cubic metres. (3) In calculating the space in any room for the purposes of subsection (2), any space above 3 metres from the floor level shall be disregarded.
