Section 5: Meetings of Board

5. Meetings of Board (1) The quorum of the Board shall be 5. (2) (a) The Chairperson or, in his absence, the Chief Government Pharmacist shall preside at all meetings of the Board. (b) In the absence of both the Chairperson and the Chief Government Pharmacist from a meeting of the Board, the members present shall elect from among themselves a member to preside at that meeting and the member so elected shall, in relation to that meeting, exercise the functions and have all the powers of the Chairperson. (3) Everything required or authorised to be done by the Board shall be decided by a simple majority of the members present and voting. (4) At any meeting of the Board, each member shall have one vote on the matter in issue and, in the event of an equality of votes, the Chairperson shall have a casting vote. P8 – 5 [Issue 1] Pharmacy Act (5) Subject to this section, the Board shall regulate its meetings in such manner as it thinks fit.
