40. Transitional provisions (1) Every licence issued under the Post Office Act and its regulations which has not expired prior to or on the day on which this Act comes into operation shall be deemed to have been issued under this Act and shall remain valid for the period issued. (2) Any regulation made under the Post Office Act shall, subject to it being consistent with this Act, continue to be in force and apply to the postal service under this Act until revoked by regulations made under this Act. (3) Notwithstanding section 8 (1), the Mauritius Post Limited shall be deemed to have been validly licensed under this Act. 41. — SCHEDULE [Section 8] LICENCES
