Section 20: Power to enter and inspect premises

20. Power to enter and inspect premises (1) The Sanitary Authority or any person authorised by it in writing may, together with any assistants— (a) enter and inspect any premises, other than a private dwelling house at any reasonable time of the day; and (b) where necessary, open up the ground of the premises and cause the drains to be tested and perform such other work as may be necessary for the effective examination of the premises. (2) Where no nuisance is found to exist on the premises under subsection (1), the premises shall be restored at Government’s expense.
