10. Powers of officers outside institution
(1) Every officer may, without warrant—
(a) search for and apprehend any detainee who has escaped from
custody; and
(b) enter and search any premises in which he has cause to believe
that a detainee who has escaped from custody may be concealed.
(2) No officer shall enter any premises without first disclosing his identity
to the occupier of the premises.
(3) Any person who obstructs an officer in the performance of his duties
under subsection (1) shall commit an offence.
