98. Clearing of river bed
The Conservator of Forests may, under such conditions as he thinks fit,
authorise the owner of any land through or beside which flows any river or
stream to destroy, remove and clear, and to appropriate any tree, bush,
weed or other growth or impediment, that may be pointed out to him by a
forest officer, lying or being in the bed of that part of the river or stream
flowing on or alongside his land so that the flow is not impeded, slackened
or interfered with.
