Section 123U: Causing danger to road users

123U. Causing danger to road users (1) A person shall commit an offence if he intentionally and without lawful authority or reasonable cause— (a) causes anything to be on or over a road; (b) interferes with a motor vehicle, trailer or cycle; (c) interferes, removes, damages or tampers with— (i) any fence, barrier, light or anything else placed on or near a road by a highway authority or the police; (ii) a traffic sign placed on or near a road, in such circumstances that there is risk of danger of injury to a person, or serious damage to property. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1) (c), anything placed on or near a road shall, unless the contrary is proved, be deemed to have been lawfully placed there.
