123Y. Restriction of carriage of persons on motorcycles and autocycles
(1) No driver of a motorcycle or an autocycle shall carry more than one
person as pillion rider on his vehicle.
(2) No person in addition to the driver shall be carried on a two-wheeled
motorcycle or an autocycle otherwise than sitting astride the motorcycle or
autocycle and on a proper seat securely fixed behind the driver’s seat.
(3) Where any person is carried on a motorcycle or an autocycle in
contravention of this section, the driver of the motorcycle or autocycle shall
commit an offence.
