126. Exemptions
Section 124 and any other enactment imposing a speed limit on motor
vehicles shall not apply to a vehicle which is used—
(a) for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes; or
(b) by a road transport inspector in the exercise of his duties,
where its enforcement would be likely to hinder the use of the vehicle for the
purpose for which it is being used.
