8. Code of ethics (1) The Minister may, by regulations, make code of ethics for the members of the Board of the Commission, the Chief Executive and the staff of the Commission relating toβ€” (a) acceptance of gifts or other reward; (b) other employment within the securities industry; (c) acting as or accepting a function as an officer of a reporting issuer, a licensee, an SRO or a collective investment scheme; and (d) their involvement in securities transactions. (2) Regulations made under subsection (1) may provide that any person who contravenes them shall be liable to a fine not exceeding 500,000 rupees.
