7. Register of substantial shareholders of a company
(1) (a) Subject to paragraph (b), nothing in this Act shall be construed as
affecting the obligation of a company to keep a register of substantial shareholders under the Companies Act.
(b) A company shall be under no obligation to enter in the register the
names and particulars of persons deemed members under section 5 (1) (b).
(2) The CDS shall, on becoming aware that a depositor is a substantial
shareholder of an issuer, notify the issuer and the Commission of that fact
forthwith.
