Section 25: Application for registration

25. Application for registration (1) Every person who operates a small enterprise or medium enterprise may apply for registration with the Authority in such form and manner as it thinks fit. (1A) An individual operating an enterprise with an annual turnover of not more than 10 million rupees, a company or co-operative society, may apply for registration with the Authority under this section. (2) Every application made under subsection (1) or (1A) shall be accompanied by such information and fee as may be required by the Authority. S19 – 11 [Issue 9] Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority Act (3) Notwithstanding subsection (2), where a person applies for registration under the Business Registration Act and declares in his application that he wishes to apply for registration under this section, he shall, upon registration under that Act, be deemed to have applied to the Authority for registration under this section.
