3. Objects of Association
The objects of the Association shall be to—
(a) start and carry on educational work for the physical, moral,
intellectual, social and religious advancement, particularly, of the
Tamils of Mauritius, by the establishment of schools, colleges
and libraries and the organisation of lectures and debates on all
subjects which are not repugnant to the law;
(b) undertake any charitable work for the benefit particularly of poor
and needy Tamils;
(c) adopt all other fair and lawful means conducive to the welfare of
the Tamils;

(d) enter into possession, and undertake the management and maintenance, of temples, together with their lands and properties.
