56. Registration and deregistration of approved surveyors
(1) No person shall practise as an approved surveyor for the purposes of
this Act unless he is registered with the Authority.
(2) The Authority shall establish such procedures as it may determine for
the registration and deregistration of approved surveyors.
(3) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall commit an offence
and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine of not less than 5,000 rupees and
not exceeding 50,000 rupees and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding
one year.
