22. Objects of Universal Service Fund
The objects of the Fund shall be to—
(a) finance the extension of utility services to customers or areas
not provided with adequate utility services; and
(b) provide for subsidies or other forms of financial assistance necessary to enable licensees to provide utility services to any category of customers, the provision of which utility services would
otherwise have proven uneconomical for such licensees.
