45. Inspection
(1) The Authority may appoint such number of officers as it thinks fit to
be inspectors for the purposes of this Act.
(2) An inspector may, after he has given to the owner or occupier of
premises not less than 24 hours’ notice—
(a) visit and inspect those premises;

(b) take samples for the purpose of analysis; and
(c) require the owner or occupier to give to him all reasonable assistance and provide information and documents for the purposes
of the inspection.
(3) Where a sample is taken under subsection (2), the inspector shall divide the sample into 3 parts, which shall be marked, sealed and signed by
him and the person from whom the sample is taken, and shall—
(a) deliver one part to the person from whom the sample is taken;
(b) retain one part for future comparison; and
(c) forward one part to the appropriate laboratory for analysis.
