17. Powers of Council
(1) The Council shall, except as otherwise provided, have and exercise
the same powers concerning the Society as those conferred on the Society
by this Act and may perform all acts for the due execution and exercise of
those powers.

(2) The Council may appoint subcommittees which shall consist of such
members of the Council and have such powers as the Council may determine.
