38. Importation of dogs
(1) (a) No person shall import any dog of a breed, kind or description
listed in the Fourth Schedule.
(b) In this subsection —
“dog” includes the embryo, ova or semen of a dog.
(2) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall commit an offence
and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 50,000 rupees and
to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years.
