16. Confidentiality
The Permanent Secretary, the Chief Surveyor, a Government surveyor, an
officer of the Ministry or a member—
(a) shall not disclose to any unauthorised person any matter which
comes to his knowledge in the performance of his functions or
the exercise of his powers under this Act; and
(b) except where necessary for the purposes of the performance of
his functions or the exercise of his powers under this Act, shall
not, directly or indirectly—
(i) make a record of, or divulge or communicate to any person, any information concerning the affairs of any person,
acquired by him by reason of the performance of his functions or the exercise of his powers under this Act; or
(ii) produce to any person any document furnished to him by
another person for the purposes of this Act.
